Misty Moo ​- Permanent Resident

Misty Moo is a 24-year-old walking Pony Mare. She is retired from kids, so she tends to be a but grumpy meaning she needs special attention, especially to her extra long mane. Braiding skills are highly desired, as are treats! Misty has Cushing’s, which is like being diabetic, which can be expensive.  She also needs a joint supplement and routine vet care. Misty also needs to be off grass due to extensive laminitis. She wears padded hoof boots.

Misty Moo was put down in November of 2022 with her pasture mate Snoopy. Misty constant flareups with laminitis/founder were becoming harder to manage and pulling her aways from her family and friends in the pasture was hard. She became Snoopy's "seeing eye" horse and that was good for a couple years, but she didn't have the quality of life that she wanted. We decided to release her to unlimited pastures in the sky with Snoopy. They were then cremated together and brought to South Dakota to be buried with Winter and Tag.
